The armour of King Charles I (1612), at the Tower of London's White Tower, London, UK

Inscription: "This armour was originally made for Henry, Prince of Wales, who died before receiving it. It then passed to his younger brother, Charles, later to become king. It is engraved and punched with foliage over its whole surface and covered in gold leaf, an unusual form of decoration since gold was usually fused to the surface by the dangerous process of mercury gilding..."
