Hardly a Quiet Moment
 Hardly a Quiet Moment

A toy tennis ball of a neighbour's pet dog left behind on the steps, at home in North Vancouver

...And the shutter of our Canon EOS 20D camera has been replaced successfully...

Interesting colours. I like the grad in the background. Was that done in-camera? And congrats on the shutter replacement. Now I know who to call if mine ever needs to be replaced. ;)

The shutter replacement took several days, and I did have two screws left over.. :) The picture is unedited other than white balance and exposure. The background gradient is just a bokeh of the distant tiles lit by reflected, cooler light instead of direct sunlight.

More interesting and eye catching than any of the hundreds of photos I have seen all day. To think of this idea and produce what you have displayed here shows an incredible depth of artistic ability.

I totally agree with Tom here. Such a 'normal' scene but framed and captured just perfectly! The lighting is really superb.
