Brandywine Falls
 Brandywine Falls

Just outside of Whistler, BC -- 66 metres high

christine: Since we've been keeping fairly busy on home renovations, we haven't been taking the photographic outings that we usually do. Today we opted to take the day off from our regular lives and head up to Whistler and Squamish to enjoy the sunny weather and try out our new 1000x neutral density filter.

Neutral density filters serve to reduce some of light that passes through the actual lens. This, in turn, causes the camera to expose a photo (in regular daylight) for a longer period without completely over-exposing the photograph. The filter thus creates that nice milky effect that you see here.

Well shot. You can feel the power of the water in this. I have been looking for a ND filter for some time to enable shots like this.
