Fisherman on Vembanad Lake, Kottayam (Kerala), Southern India

I always love it, when I see a scene that feels rather alien to me as a European. The hat looks somewhat funny on a grown man to me and is a contrast to his rather serious expression. Maybe I personally would not have positioned the man in the center, but the composition also works very well the way it is.

This is a wonderful photo - do you have more of India posted? It's fun to see other bloggers photos from a place after visiting the country. Too bad we didn't see the same regions!

Looks like there's a little vignetting going on in the corners - on purpose? Really does keep your eye in the photo.
