Fiber Mosaic
 Fiber Mosaic

The base end of an IKEA Fiber Optic Table Lamp, lit in reverse

simon: Last night, I locked myself in the bathroom with the lights off to take some shots of our plasma ball and IKEA fiber optic table lamp. I tied the stands together with an elastic band and flipped it over so that the strands lit in reverse, producing this eye-catching, LED-lit mosaic.

I’m impressed by the image and the ingenuity. Having been cautioned for laying on the floor of a cathedral photographing the ceiling, I guess locking myself in a bathroom with something from IKEA might be a safer option.

Works well as a very nice abstract, the soft tones are particularly nice.
